AAV Capsid Analytics
AAV vectors are critically important to gene therapy drug efficacy, yet they remain a challenge to characterize. Our NanoRanger has been shown to distinguish AAV capsids based on size differences measured in Angstroms, featuring low cost and ease of use and correlating closely with DNA content verified by orthogonal testing with gold standards.

Antibodies
Monoclonal antibodies have become the juggernauts of biologic drugs in terms of industry revenues and public health benefits. Many production and stability problems remain, and inexpensive tools to characterize samples at-line and at strategic points in the supply chain are major QC opportunities. High resolution ES-DMA has been shown to, for example, distinguish antibody particles based on oxidization, with many more potential applications.

Climate change
Many nano-particles in the atmosphere play a role in explaining climate change. Compared to mass spec, our systems offer faster, less expensive and more portable characterization and quantification of such particles.

Waste water monitoring
Waste water samples may be important predictors of pathogen outbreaks. Sample volumes are large and PCR may be cost and time prohibitive. ES-DMA needs to be explored for viability as a low-cost, continuous flow testing method.
